Talk title: Impacts of forest management on carbon sequestration and storage
Associate Professor of Quantitative Forest Management
West Virginia University
This presentation will provide case studies of how different forest management practices affect rates of carbon sequestration and storage. Management practices that will be examined include different types of thinning, prescribed fire, and understory fuel treatments. Examples will be provided from different forest regions including the Appalachian region, western coniferous forests, temperate, and boreal forests.
