Dr. Khanal will provide an overview of the private forest landowner’s understanding and willingness toward the forest carbon market and barriers toward participation. He will also highlight two ongoing studies evaluating the socio-economic implications and opportunities to underserved forest landowner groups from the forest carbon market, and efforts toward promoting climate-smart forestry for resilient working forests in the southern region.
